Clean modern apartment block with spacious rooms and adequate facilities for a short stay. Secure car parking and easy to find on the outskirts of the city
The hotel claim to be "20 mins walk from the old city" is an utter bare faced falsehood to encourage bookings. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the new city. We walked down the steep hill to the centre of the new town and it took 20 minutes. The old city is an equal distance across the river and up the valley side. With small children this would be an hour or more!! Why do good hotels undermine their reputation with deliberate misinformation like this ?

Reception staff were very helpful and on site parking in a secure compound.
I would not stay here again, nothing really bad about it but the place is totally lacking in atmosphere and very poor value for money. We had a large studio. The bed was a squeaky sofa bed, there were no worktops in the kitchen, there are no balcony's and we could only receive about 3 TV channels. Parking and wi fi was 2 euros a night, not bad in itself but just added to the poor value for money when most other hotels provde it free. The place is a good 20 minute walk to the edge of the city centre and another 20 minutes walk to the old walled city.

We found Appart'City made a good base from which to explore the old city. The room was fairly spacious and very quiet at night. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful providing useful information on local supermarket - a great one about 800m away - and access to the fortress. There are also several reasonable priced restaurants in the vicinity. I would be happy to stay here again. Great value for money.
The shower door didn't keep the water from dripping on the floor. Ended up with a huge puddle.

The rooms are very plain and functionable but had everything you need (including a dishwasher!) to enable you to do a bit of cooking. The sofa bed was comfortable. There was tons of hot water. You could walk downhill into Carcassone town - we also walked to the old city although that must be 2 or 3 miles away. In the other direction you can walk to a shopping mall with an Intermarche, food outlets and a cinema. We did a lot of walking in the beautiful countryside. I would definitely look out for this chain again. Great value for money.
There was some confusion surrounding the safe. They had sent a text with a code on for the safe. I looked all around the room but couldn't find one. On our way out one evening, when the reception was closed, we we asked for help by a couple with young children who had arrived late and did not know how to get their room key. They too had been sent a safe code. To cut a long story short there is a safe in the foyer where keys for late arrivals are stored. It took a lot of phone calls with the help of a french women to fathom that out!

We found apart city carcassonne to be excellant value for money after Reading the reviews I noticed that someone said there were no bars or restaraunts within twenty mins walk, what on crutches the city was a 15 min walkaway and if you walked the opposite direction for 15 mins there wa a whole complex cinema, quick burger, chinese restaraunt and a brilliant pizza place selling everything from salads to steaks also a resteraunt aand bar in the cinema plus 3 massive supermarkets and an aldi. The apartment complex was extremly quiet, the pool was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was brill two hobs a microwave a coffee machine that didn't need filters a fridge freezer and a dishwasher. across the car park there was a bakers fresh bread croissants
It wasn't a dislike but going back to the appartment was a 15 min walk uphilll it should tell you that but if you time itright the buses stop right outside and the taxi I 5-7 eruros the taxi to the airport 11eruros same price as the bus a bargain
